Washington Post’s John Temple resigns as managing editor

The Washington Post said Wednesday that its managing editor, John Temple, has resigned from the newspaper. Temple oversaw The Post’s local coverage and digital initiatives. He joined the paper nearly a year ago after serving as the founding editor and general manager of Hono­lulu Civil Beat, an online news site.
